Any significant ancestors?: Varion is from the ancient house of Blackdagger, they are a rich and noble family who have lasted the ages. They are from long Nordic tribes and privately they still follow old religions, ones which believe in demons, death, and more.

Parents and family (describe relationship): Varion family died, he never knew what it was like to have a mother or father, brother or sister. Nobody really knows what killed them, some say it was a car accident, but Varion doesn’t believe so. He believes that the stranger, death killed them for forgetting to obey and worship him.

Varion lived with this families elders known as the Black Council. They are a bunch of old men and women, but Varion has come to know them as family. They made sure he went to school, and have paid for his living ever since he was a boy. He highly respects them, even if they smell and often annoy him.

Who was their first crush?: Varion has fallen for many girls of his own age and younger. However his first crush was a girl he used to go to school with. They shared the same class together but they had little in common. Karva was her name, they were both eight at the time and Varion followed her everywhere like her personal puppy. However Karva Stonewood was of a rival house, and they were forbidden to see each other, and because of this the elders who Varion lived with forced him to change school, and the town he lived in.

How does your Character see themselves?: He holds himself to a high regard, however he doesn’t trust himself or his own judgement. He believer that his worship in the stranger, the god of death allows him better/puts him in a higher position than others, but he doesn’t come across this way as doing so would make him seem socially snobbish. Instead he prefers to keep his own thoughts his own.

How does your Character believe they are perceived by others?: He’s seen by people as a young an easily approachable man, with a very strange tics social tics which most believe give him character and life. These tics include hearing voices, and believing people have spoken to him or are speaking to him, when they aren’t and haven’t.

How self-confident is your character?: Very

What makes their self-confidence waver?: He doesn’t trust his own judgment, his self-confidence wavers when he begins to believe what he is seeing isn’t real.

What would embarrass your character the most?:  People knowing that he’s a virgin (Losing face). It’s stupid to think this, but he’s had women approach him before. Ones who have offered a casual encounters, but he’s always turned them down as he seems them as unworthy of him. However admitting this would make him seeming elite, and rude among people. Losing face is something Varion doesn’t allow.

How does your character feel about love: Varion through his own madness and killing, has closed his hands to love. He doesn’t believe anyone is worthy of his love, and those he crushes on he only sees them as something to fuck.

How does your character handle pain?: Varion handles pain well, to him feeling any physical or emotional pain reminds him that his still human, that his real, that what’s happening around him is real. Pain is the anchor for Varion to navigate and rest his ship as he sails through life. Without it he would be lost alone at sea.

Emotional Characteristics

How does character relate to others?: He believes people are unworthy to even be around him, however Varion hates to be alone. Therefore he as no choice but to pretend to enjoy the company of others. Pretend to fall in love and to play so to speak. He does this to get close to the people he wants to kill to give over to the stranger.

How does the character deal with anger?: Varion doesn’t get angry, when anger overtakes him he instead become calm with rage. He channels it or saves it until the moment is right to use the anger to its full effect.

Thoughts of Death?: Varion loves the idea of death. He worships the god of death. He kills people to give over to death as a gift to him. He often lures people to the elders septs and kills them in front of the strangers alter. Varion sees death as a gift to him and those who he kills.

Is your character judgmental of others?: Yes, Varion believe people to be worthless and below him. He judges them harshly however would never say this to their face. Varion wants to be seen as a happy easy going person, who is popular in order to get close and kill without being suspected.

Why do they believe as they do?: It’s what he’s been told is true by the elders, he’s become obsessed with the strange since he was a child, since he found out he was a skilled killer.

Childhood & Backstory

He was just a little boy when he saw the first man and child die in front of him. It was the first time he felt helpless and alone in the world. At just the age of three he was exposed to real fear, a fear that doesn't leave you alone, a fear that doesn't give you a good night's rest.

The fear was caused by the death of his entire family, he can’t remember how it happened, he can only remember how he felt. He can only remember walking along in his house and his family's dead bodies were lifeless across the floor, covered in their own blood and filth. He can only remember the dying need for an answer to why he was allowed to live that day.

Once his family had died he was taken in by the Black Council and overtime he became worshiper of the stranger. Though this worship Varions actions became more and more violent, as the boy felt he had to prove himself to the stranger. To pay him back for saying his life that day. At the age of six he started to kill stray animals within the altar of the Black Council, but he soon turned to killing people. By the age of seven he had taken his first human life, by posing a someone's drink.

He wasn't a strong boy, but he was clever and well read. He quickly took a liking to poisons, as they can kill without a trace. He soon used these poisons to kill more and more people, and would often drag their bodies into the altar of the stranger.

No matter how many lives he took the boy still felt empty, the boy felt alone and needing for answers. At such a young age he felt bitter, and angry with everyone he spoke too. He hated his mother, his father, and the rest of his family for not allowing him to die along with them.

As Varion killed without end, the madness of killing and becoming cold inside began to take over. Has Varion grew up he started to be scared that someone would find out, he started to hallucinate because he suppressed his feeling of mercy and kindness. But Varions smarts allowed him to carry on, to evolve his style of killing and to become a great hidden monster.
